A joint effort by Indigenous communities of the Amazon Rainforest and nativien to strengthen Indigenous health systems, preserve biodiversity and make a significant contribution to a regenerative biocultural economy.
Health systemsWorking with traditional doctors, we train Agents of Health to formulate, produce and administer remedies, adding value to their knowledge.

BiodiversityWithout Indigenous People's TLC, many of the 12,000 medicinal plants in the Amazon Rainforest would simply become extinct.

Biocultural economyBy adapting the herbalist model to Indigenous realities, we also create the conditions for a sustainable biocultural economy.

How it works
There might be well over 12,000 medicinal plants known to Indigenous Peoples of the Amazon (pharmacopeia).
This knowledge is disappearing and with it one of the most critical elements of the Indigenous social fabric.
We are setting up a network of Living Pharmacies in remote communities (only reachable by boat or plane) co-creating a unique herbalist model that values Indigenous Traditional Medicinal Knowledge and Systems.
At its core are community-run small production units allowing for the production of remedies as well as essential oil, pressed oil and fermented oil. Each Living Pharmacy serves 7 to 10 communities

nativien recognizes the importance of preserving Virgin Rainforest outside Indigenous Territories, reforest degraded land and sharing local realities with the World.
Save A ForestThere are a few standing Virgin Rainforests in the Upper Amazon. We ought to save them. We have a model that values them standing.

AgroforestryMost of the Upper Amazon Rainforest has been deforested or severely degraded. Agroforestry can change this.
